The best projects are where you get to work with your friends, especially when they are very talented, hardworking and excellent cooks who keep you well fed.
Jess Daniell’s latest collection of over 100 new recipes, Jess’ Underground Deli, was one of those fabulous books where the long days never felt like hard work because of the great team. This book also contains my first recipe collaboration which came from some nostalgic brainstorming around old school 80s favourites – asparagus rolls – and Southland cheese rolls.
Luckily for Aucklanders Jess’ new cafe – JUK – has opened on Remuera Road and so there are now two locations where you get your fix or pick up the new book.
